Pistons offer practice facility to help fight COVID-19

We’ve seen professional athletes and sports teams step up to the plate as the United States continues to battle the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Detroit Pistons are the latest example. On Saturday, the NBA team offered up its new practice facility and team headquarters to help the fight against coronavirus in Michigan.

As we are seeing around the entire United States, the healthcare community in Michigan is about to be overrun by the virus. In its latest update, Michigan’s government reported 3,657 cases and 92 deaths relating to COVID-19.

It’s great to see professional sports teams do their best to help with the ongoing crisis around the United States and the rest of the world. Detroit is just the latest example.

As it relates to the NBA’s potential return to normalcy, this also seems to be an example that the season won’t be continuing any time soon.
