Examining the Nuggets’ silver lining and Michael Porter Jr.’s breakout, pre-season mistakes made (by me)

As the NBA regular season sprints to the finish line, but before the playoff (or even play-in) matchups are set, it’s a perfect time to look back over the season and note some instances in which I was just plain wrong. It’s easy to focus just on the things where one was right all along, but it’s harder to learn and improve from success than failure. MPJ’s emergence

If there’s a silver lining for the Nuggets in the aftermath of Jamal Murray’s season-ending ACL tear, it has been the play of Michael Porter Jr. In the 14 games since that injury, Porter has averaged 25.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 64.3 percent on 2s, 50 percent on 3s and 85.6 percent from the line compared to 17.3 | 7.8 | 1.0 on 62.3 | 42.1 | 76.3.
