Designer Alexander Wang Hit With Yet Another Sexual Assault Allegation

Designer Alexander Wang had already been subject to allegations of drugging and assaulting nearly a dozen people. Now, another one of his alleged victims is publicly speaking out.

According to the BBC, 21-year-old Keaton Bullen, an interior design student at the Parsons School of Design, has come forward to claim that the former Balienciaga creative director sexually assaulted him at a New York City nightclub two years ago. Bullen said he was at the club Fishbowl with a friend on August 24, 2019, when he and Wang initially drummed up a conversation about their shared alma mater. From there, Bullen alleged that Wang offered him and his friend drinks and then headed to the dance floor, which is where the alleged assault took place.

“All of a sudden he unzipped my trousers, put his hands in my pants and started grabbing my penis in front of a bunch of people, I completely froze,” Bullen claimed. “He then said, ‘I want to take you home with me.’ I felt weirded out… and removed myself from the situation as fast as possible.”

Wang, who currently runs his own eponymous fashion house, has denied the new allegation.

Paul Tweed, a member of Wang’s legal team, told the BBC he is awaiting video footage from the club on the night of the alleged incident and noted that “his client believes will totally disprove this allegation.”

Lisa Bloom, a former CNN commentator and high-profile attorney who represented the accusers of ousted Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly, also said she’s now serving as counsel for the 11 people accusing Wang of sexual misconduct. The allegations go back to as early as 2017, and in recent months, a growing number of accusers have come forward to share their experiences of Wang allegedly violating their bodily autonomy.

In an interview with the New York Times last week, stylist and fashion archivist David Casavant claimed that Wang pulled down his pants and underwear in 2017 at a club in Brooklyn. And in December, Owen Mooney, a 26-year-old model, said alleged that Wang groped him at a New York City nightclub in January 2017.

“I was by myself at one point and this guy next to me obviously took advantage of the fact that no one could fucking move,” Mooney claimed in a December 10 TikTok post. “And he just started touching me up. Fully up my leg, in my crotch. It made me freeze completely because I was in so much shock.”

In the initial video, Mooney didn’t mention Wang by name but alluded that the alleged perpetrator was a “really famous fashion designer.” However, a few days later, Mooney posted an additional video to confirm that it was indeed Wang. “Turns out Alexander Wang is a massive sexual predator, and there’s been a load of people that he’s done this to,” Mooney said. “It’s really fucked up that people with this type of status, they think that their power gives them this pass to be able to do this to people.”

In January, Wang vehemently denied the accusations in a statement to the New York Times, calling them “baseless and grotesquely false.”

“Seeing these lies about me being perpetuated as truths has been infuriating,” he said. “I never engaged in the atrocious behavior described and would never conduct myself in the manner that’s been alleged. I intend to get to the bottom of this and hold accountable whoever is responsible for originating these claims and viciously spreading them online.”

Wang followed the statement in the Times with an internal memo to employees of his fashion house.

“While I have always been active in my social life, frequently attending various industry gatherings, parties and concerts where drugs and alcohol were present… but contrary to what has been said, I have never taken advantage of others in a sexual manner or forced anything on anyone without consent,” said Wang in the January 4 letter, as obtained by the New York Post’s Page Six. “I also have never abused my status or fame for my own benefit.”
