2020 IIHF Women's Worlds Schedule Announced


The complete game schedule for the 2020 International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship was announced today by the IIHF. The U.S. Women’s National Team will open its quest for a sixth-straight gold medal at the tournament against Switzerland on Tuesday, March 31 at 6:30 p.m. ET. 

All of Team USA’s preliminary round games will be played at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, as the U.S. competes in Group A alongside Canada, Finland, Russia and Switzerland. 

Group B, which includes the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hungary and Japan, will play its preliminary round contests at Rath Eastlink Community Centre in Truro, Nova Scotia. 

The knockout round begins with four quarterfinal matchups on Tuesday, April 7, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, April 9, and the gold- and bonze-medal games on Friday, April 10.
