The 'Five or more 50-point games' quiz

On this date in March of 1962, Philadelphia Warriors center Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points against the New York Knicks. The box score from the game is bonkers to look at: Chamberlain went 36-for-63 from the field and 28-for-32 at the line. He also added 25 rebounds and two assists while also playing all 48 minutes. Only one player, Kobe Bryant, has reached the 80 point mark since, while only four others have eclipsed 70, if you exclude Wilt, of course. It’s certainly possible that someone in today’s points-happy NBA eclipses Chamberlain’s legendary mark, but it’s far more likely than not that we never see it happen in our collective lifetimes.

Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. No one could fill it up like the Big Dipper, who over the course of his career scored 50 or more points in 118 games. That’s more than the next five legends on the list combined. In NBA history, only 20 players have scored 50 points in a game on five or more occasions. So with that in mind, how many can you name in five minutes?

Good luck!
