Sporting 'I can't breathe' shirt, Ben Simmons calls out 'blatant racism'

Professional sports stars from all walks of life are taking a stand against racial injustice in the United States following the murder of George Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department earlier this week.

While the officer in question has been charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter, it has not proved to be enough for a large part of the American society. The ugly scenes that played out in several major cities Friday night is a prime example of this.

Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons is now the latest to speak up. In doing so, he’s honoring Floyd’s memory and calling for the end of blatant racism while saying “enough is enough.”
