Meanwhile, Nadal has called for the ATP Cup and Davis Cup to merge into one super international event.
“I can’t change my mind that two world cups in one month is not real,” he said.
“For the health of our sport and for the benefit of our sport it is, in my opinion, mandatory that we fix it.
“We need to be clear in our sport. My mind is that we need to create one special thing, not two.”
