News24.com | In-demand Bongi Ntuli set for AmaZulu exit

Bongi Ntuli is waiting to seal a transfer to a “specific” team having handed in a transfer request to AmaZulu.

Ntuli’s manager Mandla Mthembu says a request to leave Usuthu was
made earlier in the season with the aim to allow the club to find a
suitable replacement striker.

The talented 29-year-old joined AmaZulu from Mamelodi Sundowns in
2019, having also played for Golden Arrows, and Platinum Stars on loan.

Speaking to KickOff, Mthembu explained he has presented AmaZulu with an offer from another team.

He said: “We long handed in Bongi’s transfer request, before the
bio-bubble camp because we did not want to come in last minute and
disrupt their plans.

“Our aim was to give the club enough chance and time to look for a
replacement. The reality is that there is serious interest in Bongi and
it’s a move he always wanted to make.

“Our letter to AmaZulu is very specific in a sense that it indicates
that Bongi wants to move to that specific club only and nowhere else.
There is an offer which I have personally given to the club for their
consideration.”

Ntuli scored 13 league goals for AmaZulu this season.
