This Ganesha temple in Chennai’s Anna Nagar comes with twist. Named ‘Cricket Ganesha’, the deity here fields a ball, strikes a cover drive, and even specially blesses left-handed batsmen!
The man behind the temple is cricket fan Ramakrishnan, who had vowed he’d name the deity ‘Cricket Ganesha’ if India won the 2001 Eden Garden match against Australia India not only won the Test but also wrapped up the series 2-1.
