Jrue Holiday’s mad dash helps Bucks pull out an ugly, desperate and much-needed Game 3 win


Three feet separated Jrue Holiday from Kyrie Irving as the Nets guard brought the ball across the half-court line with 30 seconds remaining in Game 3 on Thursday night. With the Bucks trailing by a point and 12 seconds separating the game clock and shot clock, Holiday crouched down low in his defensive stance as he prepared for the possession that could decide the game and the Bucks’ entire season.

As Holiday and Irving stood eye-to-eye, Bruce Brown made his way toward the pair, closely followed by Brook Lopez. Brown, the Nets’ guard-turned-center, had served as one of the driving forces behind the Bucks’ lead quickly shrinking in the first quarter by running this exact action.
