JoJo Siwa is using social media to voice some concerns surrounding her upcoming tour, called Nickelodeon’s JoJo Siwa D.R.E.A.M. The Tour.

The tour, which was postponed twice in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, is slated to start on January 13, 2022, in Spokane, Washington — but preparations aren’t going as smoothly as JoJo would like. On Tuesday, September 14, the 18-year-old star took to Twitter to directly address Nickelodeon regarding the tour’s setlist, which she claims the company is stopping her from altering to feature her most recent releases.

“I go out on tour in January. My movie musical was just released (with 6 new original songs)… Nickelodeon told me today that I’m not allowed to perform/add any of the songs from the film into my show. These are MY songs, MY voice, MY writing. Does this seem fair???” the star asked her followers.

The six tracks she’s referring to in her tweet are from Nickelodeon’s film The J Team, which premiered on Paramount+ on September 3. JoJo released her D.R.E.A.M. The Music EP in 2018, and, as the title suggests is the main focus of the tour. In 2019, she followed it up with a four-track EP named Celebrate, which, per E!, is also supported via the tour. JoJo also released a holiday EP, JoJo’s Rockin’ Christmas, in 2020. According to the tour’s website, this is JoJo’s first-ever live concert tour.

After her initial tweet, JoJo took to Twitter once more to discuss the tour setlist and its implications. “There is no reason that this music should not be included,” she added. “Working for a company as a real human being treated as only a brand is fun until it’s not.”
