Somehow, someway, the two most cursed franchises in NBA history are about to play each other for a spot in the NBA Finals. And for all the talent on the court, and the delectable side-story of Chris Paul playing the Clippers, the real treat will be watching two of the league’s best and most underrated coaches match wits.
The Clippers’ curse, up until (checks watch) about 12 hours ago, was that they had never even made it to the conference finals. They weren’t even close for most of the wretched Donald Sterling era, certainly, and even when they were close fate inevitably intervened.
