Actor George Takei declared Sunday that Trump supporters are helping to destroy the country.
The LGBTQ activist and former “Star Trek” star tweeted to his 3 million followers that it’s a “tragedy” Trump voters are painfully unaware of the damage they’re causing.
“The thing about Trump voters is that they do not even realize they are enabling the desolation of our Republic,” Mr. Takei wrote.
“They somehow think they are preserving America, but in fact they are helping destroy it,” he added. “And that is a tragedy of enormous scope.”
Mr. Takei routinely criticizes the Trump administration and Republicans but this is the first time he’s gone after the people who voted for President Trump, Breitbart News noted.
On Saturday, he called the president a “man-child” and said the White House had been “overrun by criminals.”
