Top jockey Frankie Dettori updated racing fans on the 2020 schedule for Juddmonte’s champion mare Enable on Friday, via The Mirror. Similar to her 2019 route, Enable will be pointed to the Group 1 Coral-Eclipse at Sandown on July 5 to begin the season.
The two-time Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and 2018 Breeders’ Cup Turf winner stayed in training this season for another try at an unprecedented third win in the Arc. Last year, the John Gosden-trained daughter of Nathaniel fell heartbreakingly short over rain-soaked ground when defeated by Waldgeist.
“I’ve been going to John’s four times a week, so I’ve obviously seen a lot of Enable,” Dettori told The Mirror. “I’ve not sat on her yet, but I’ll go and see her and give her a few apples, polos or whatever she fancies. From head to toe she looks as good as she did last season, she’s bouncing around and walking about the yard like she owns the place.”
