Constellation’s Stargazer Wallet integrates Givebox for Fiat Onramp; gives donation to charity

Constellation Network announced a partnership with Givebox to help facilitate fiat to crypto payment processing as well as give money to charity. The partnership, which is in collaboration with the Stardust Collective, will enable Givebox to serve as an onramp for card payment processing in the Stargazer Wallet, with a percentage of those processing fees going directly to nonprofits working with Givebox.

The Stargazer Wallet is a cross-chain functional browser extension wallet for holding and transacting your $DAG tokens. The latest release, Stargazer Wallet v1.3.1, features the ability to get $DAG, the native token of Constellation’s Hypergraph Network, in exchange for making a charitable donation with a debit or credit card via integration with Givebox. The initial launch of the Stargazer Wallet is on Google Chrome, but Constellation plans to add support for others browsers in the near future.

Bridging Cryptocurrency With Nonprofits That Are Changing Lives

Founded in 2015 by philanthropists and technologists with the sole purpose of combining cutting-edge payment and fundraising technology, the Givebox platform helps non-profit organizations process donations directly, allowing charities to put more money towards good causes instead of towards fees from intermediaries.

This also means the integration of Givebox’s payment processing technology with Constellation’s ecosystem means users now have more options and an easy and secure way to transfer their traditional assets into crypto that can be used for myriad purposes on the network.

Givebox is the first the world’s first DeFi banking platform that provides merchant processing and Credit Lines for the millions of nonprofits that have been denied Financial Aid. Givebox offers donors the opportunity to give directly to the nonprofit, eliminating the fundraising-platform middleman, and the subscription fees that come along with it

“This partnership between Givebox and Constellation, which seamlessly blends classic payments & banking with modern blockchain technology, will transform the financial industry for small merchants and nonprofits. The advanced technology that we plan to provide to nonprofits would not be made possible without the “no gas fee” structure that ensures more money reaches charities.” says Joshua Rowley, Givebox CEO. “We are thrilled to have a role in such a historic undertaking, which will elevate countless charitable endeavors at a time when our communities desperately need them.”

Doing Good with Cryptocurrency

In addition to a percentage of the processing fees going directly to nonprofits working with Givebox, Constellation also announced that it will donate an equal amount of $DAG to those who donate fiat via debit or credit card in the Stargazer Wallet for social and environmental causes through Stardust Foundation.

Stardust Foundation is a nonprofit entity formed by Constellation Network and Stardust Collective. It’s focused on supporting local communities dedicated to improving economic conditions through social and environmental impact.

$DAG is a utility token cryptocurrency that secures throughput and bandwidth on the Hypergraph Network. It operates similarly to centralized services where one pays to stream content over a content delivery network.

“This is a big leap in bridging cryptocurrency with nonprofits that are changing lives, impacting humanity, and improving environmental conditions around the globe,” said Benjamin Jorgensen, Constellation CEO. He continued, “working with Givebox, a payment facilitator, ensures that merchant and donor data is secure while giving back to local communities. Our scalable protocol, HGTP, and ecosystem will now have an immediate positive impact on the world.”

Founded in 2017 by Altif Brown, Ben Jorgensen, Benjamin Jorgensen, Brendan Playford, and Wyatt Meldman-Floch, Constellation Network is an open-source platform you can use to create a blockchain, cryptocurrency, or decentralized application (DeFi).
