CLEVELAND — As Collin Sexton’s 25-footer fell through the net with 1.2 seconds left in the first overtime to tie the score at 127, Kevin Love yelled in excitement from the bench while Darius Garland hopped onto his back. The Cavaliers bench celebrated as the coaching staff called a timeout. They had bought themselves five more minutes of action against the Nets.
Sexton then scored 15 points in the second overtime period, part of a career-high 42 points, to put the game away for the Cavs. As he walked into Cleveland’s locker room following the game, he was greeted by an onslaught of H2O as his teammates poured out their water bottles and cheered.
