CHRB executive director Rick Baedeker
Executive Director Rick Baedeker confirmed his retirement from the California Horse Racing Board to the LA Times on Sunday. The 70-year-old will retire before the spring, he said, and a posting for the executive director position at the CHRB has been posted on the California jobs board.
“It’s time,” said Baedeker. He plans to travel and spend time spoiling his grandson.
The La Times story also said that vice chairman Madeline Auerbach is likely to resign, and that commissioner Fred Maas declined to be reappointed at the beginning of the year.
