Yasso building new executive leadership team



BOULDER COLO. — It is shaping up to be a transformative year at Yasso, a maker of frozen Greek yogurt desserts. The company moved its headquarters and hired a new chief executive officer. Now, it’s building a new executive leadership team.

Andy Judd has been named chief marketing officer at Yasso. He joins the company alongside three other executives, including Paul Kenny, chief customer officer, Robert Machado, chief supply chain officer, and Peter Riccio, chief financial officer. The leaders will work with newly appointed c.e.o. Craig Shiesley, who joined the company earlier this year.

Mr. Judd joins Yasso from One Brands, where he was c.m.o. Before that, he was vice-president of marketing for the Boulder Brands business unit of Pinnacle Foods. He also spent three years working with Mr. Shiesley at WhiteWave Foods.

Mr. Kenny brings more than 30 years of domestic and international sales and management experience to his new role. He has held positions at Procter & Gamble, RB, Nabisco and Kind Snacks, where he was executive vice-president of sales.

Mr. Machado has held senior leadership roles at several major players, including Kraft, Häagen-Dazs, H.J. Heinz, Coca-Cola Co. and Miller Coors. He was c.o.o. at First Source L.L.C. before joining Yasso. There, he managed the supply chain for the country’s largest candy and nut distributor.

Mr. Riccio has experience managing both large C.P.G. companies and emerging brands. He got his start at Quaker Oats before moving to Diageo and Wrigley Company. He previously held several leadership roles at WhiteWave Foods, including vice-president of dairy operations and c.f.o. of subsidiary Earthbound.

Yasso is finalizing its new headquarters in downtown Boulder and plans to fill additional roles in operations, sales and marketing, according to the company.

“Since officially joining Yasso in July, one of my immediate goals was to build a leadership team that had the experience in building and scaling brands so that we could take Yasso’s business momentum to the next level,” Mr. Shiesley said. “It was important to me to find individuals that not only had both large and small company C.P.G. experience, but also a deep passion for better-for-you food and Yasso.”
