Xisca Perello's wedding dress design emerges after Rafael Nadal ties the knot in Majorca

Details of Rafael Nadal’s new wife’s wedding dress have been revealed, a day after the two married at a lavish ceremony on the island of Majorca.

Xisca Perello, who Nadal has been with for 14 years, wore a dress designed by Rosa Clara, with the sketch of the piece being shared on social media.

Perello had previously kept quiet about the design details, but Clara shared a touching tribute to the bride and Nadal.

“An overwhelming wedding day for all of us!” the message read on Clara’s Instagram account.

“We feel incredibly proud for taking part in such an important day – Mery Perelló and Rafa Nadal’s wedding.

“We would like to congratulate the gorgeous and unique couple, we wish you the best forever!

“Rosa Clara is the designer of Mery Perelló’s wedding dress, an exquisitely clean-lined haute couture design.

“The bodice, with jewel neckline and long sleeves, was made of beautiful Art Deco-inspired French lace with delicate patterning, flower motifs and microbeading on the meticulously hand-embroidered fabric.

“The ballgown-style skirt, made of silk crepe, featured a weightless detachable train, created in Rosa Clara’s Atelier.

“The whole process was full of emotions between all of us.

“We just want to thank the whole family for trusting in us, you’re extraordinary.”

The wedding was attended by Nadal’s compatriot tennis stars Carlos Moya and David Ferrer, as well as Feliciano Lopez.

Former King of Spain Juan Carlos I was also in attendance as Nadal and Perello tied the knot on the island the 19-time Grand Slam winner was born on.

The wedding took place at La Fortaleza, the 17th-century fortress worth £30million were Gareth Bale marries back in July.
