Robert Thornton
Scot Thornton is arguably the most decorated player left in this tournamnet as a former World Grand Prix and UK Open winner, stunning Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen in those finals.
Thornton, whose best World Championship performance was also a quarter-final in 2015, was regularly ranked in the top 30 in his pomp.
He also reached third in the WDF rankings and was top of the BDO rankings in 2008 after winning the World Masters.
Richard-Eirig Rowlands
Rowlands hasn’t been active in recent years and his run to the semis here has been quite remarkable.
He’s currently ranked 1,289 in the WDF and has barely played since 2021, appearing only in Senior tournaments.
