A fox bit a woman seven times after sneaking into her living room and trying to steal her shoes.

Sarah McKendrick, 40, was sitting by at home when the creature found its way inside through an open back door.

It mauled the voice-over artist’s hand when she tried to shoo it away and told it: ‘Don’t take my shoes’.

Sarah, from Ealing, West London, had to go on strong antibiotics to prevent an infection.

She recalled how the fox clamped down on her right hand, and only released its jaws after being repeatedly hit on the head.

She told The Sun: ‘He eventually let go but it lasted for five minutes. The fox bit me about seven times — but only got me badly twice.

‘It was looking at me like, “hee-hee, this is fun”.’

Sarah, who saw a fox in her home several months ago, says the animal went on to steal her next door neighbour’s shoes.

But she was just glad the canine didn’t harm their six-week-old baby.

Sarah went straight to her GP the morning after the attack and was put on strong antibiotics to prevent sepsis, which can be caused by fox saliva.
