Washington Wizards forward Deni Avdija had to leave Wednesday’s game against the Golden State Warriors in a wheelchair after suffering a right leg injury in the second quarter.
Avdija went up for a shot attempt around the rim and came down awkwardly on his right leg. The rookie was selected by the Wizards with the ninth overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft.
Avdija is averaging 6.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists for the season.
