Wimbledon confirm seedings as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic discover fate

Wimbledon use a unique formula to award their seeding places.

The top 32 players of the ATP world rankings have their positions rearranged based on their grass court performances over the last two years.

And ATP points earned on grass courts are doubled, meaning world No 2 Federer is the second seed.

That brings with it certain benefits as the Swiss star will be in a different half to Djokovic.

Federer could also be kept apart from Nadal, who dropped to third in the standings.

Last year’s runner-up Kevin Anderson completes the top four, who cannot meet until the semi-finals.

The full draw is set to take place at the All England Club on Friday, where players will learn their path to glory.

The 32 seeds will be kept apart from other seeded players until the third round.
