Where things stand for the Vikings after the Titans’ COVID-19 outbreak


The Vikings got word in the early hours of Wednesday that none of their players, coaches or personnel members tested positive for COVID-19 after an outbreak within the Tennessee Titans, the Vikings’ opponent last Sunday.

But they’re not out of the clear yet. The team’s infection control officer, Eric Sugarman, cited the Center for Disease Control guidelines that say it can take 2-7 days (and occasionally longer) for people who have been exposed to the virus to test positive. Because of that, the team’s facility remained closed on Wednesday while the Vikings made plans for a likely return Thursday.
