When It Finally Rains in California
On Sunday, Downtown Sacramento recorded two-hundredths of an inch of rain — the city’s first measurable precipitation in 212 days, breaking a record of 194 consecutive dry days set in 1880.

The San Francisco Bay Area was so unaccustomed to precipitation that even a light rain caused power outages.
