There’s not much to smile about over in Florham Park, but it would be understandable if Jets GM Joe Douglas has a little extra pep in his step this week.

For the first time this year, the vast majority of his debut Jets draft class is — ferociously knock wood after you read this next word — healthy.

“I know he’s excited to see these guys play — we’ve been waiting,” coach Adam Gase said. “We really like this draft class and we feel like these guys can help us a lot.”

Mekhi Becton should start at left tackle against the Chiefs. Denzel Mims will be there at receiver, Ashtyn Davis at safety and Braden Mann at punter. Frank Gore will still be the first running back out there, but La’Mical Perine will play more snaps. Even Jabari Zuniga, the forgotten-about pass rusher drafted in the third round, is eligible to make his debut.
