West Ham draw FCSB, Anderlecht and Silkeborg in Europa Conference League


West Ham United have drawn FCSB, Anderlecht and Silkeborg in the Europa Conference League.

This means a trip to Romania to face FCSB, the team formerly known as Steaua Bucharest, Belgium to take on Anderlecht and Silkeborg in Denmark.

West Ham, who reached the semi-finals of the Europa League last season, qualified for the play-off stages of the Conference League by finishing seventh in the Premier League. They then overcame Danish side Viborg over two legs, winning 6-1 on aggregate to reach the group stage.

FCSB finished second in the Romanian league and runner-up in the play-offs, while Anderlecht came third in the Belgian league’s Championship round. Silkeborg came sixth in the regular season table in Denmark but third in the Championship round.

Elsewhere in the draw, Hearts have been placed in Group A alongside Istanbul Basaksehir, Fiorentina and RFS.

Irish side Shamrock Rovers will take on Gent, Molde and Djurgarden in Group F.
