‘We want to get after it’: Breaking down what’s ahead for Oregon football


Friday didn’t exactly come across as a celebration.

Don’t get it wrong: The Oregon Ducks are ecstatic to be playing football again. Over the moon, really. But in Mario Cristobal’s first news conference since the Pac-12 on Thursday reversed its decision to postpone the fall season, the third-year Oregon coach offered some context.

“With everything that’s transpired, you want to talk about the range of emotions — it’s gone up and down and all over the place,” Cristobal said. “Credit to the players. Credit to the staff that have really tried to remain steady. It’s impacted us in really strong and tough ways at times. At other times, we’ve been able to just really find some strength and camaraderie to keep it going.
