The Mavericks were in danger of getting blown out in Game 2. Then Luka Doncic got going.
The Mavericks have struggled on offense, aside from Doncic, who nearly notched a triple-double through three quarters with 27 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
When Doncic truly got going, he broke out the razzle-dazzle moves. When seemingly the entire Wolves defense collapsed on a Doncic drive, the All-NBA guard hit Josh Green for a wide-open three with a no-look pass.
And when Doncic finally cooled off, his backcourt partner took over. Kyrie Irving gave the Mavericks their first lead in more than 36 minutes by leading an 8-0 run to kick off the fourth, nailing two three-pointers and assisting on another bucket.
