WATCH: Look out, world — Dustin Johnson's kid can already rip it

River, who can barely hold the club over his head, already has an envious shoulder turn and follow-through. Harnessing that skillset from the tender age of 2 is a scary proposition, given his father’s mutant length off the tee.

After watching the video, it’s easy to imagine a long and fruitful golf career for someone with the genetic makeup. But still, we should give props where they’re due — that’s a wildly impressive swing for someone who’s still learning how to read and write. For context, River was less than a week old when DJ’s friend Brooks Koepka won his first major at Erin Hills in 2017.

Dustin, who’s standing next to River in the video, is nearing a return to competitive golf. Johnson hasn’t played in an event since the Tour Championship in August while he recovers from arthroscopic knee surgery. He’s expected to be back in action at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas next week ahead of the Presidents Cup.

Gretzky captioned the post of Dustin and River, “Watch out PGA Tour 2035.” As golf fans who’ve been graced with Dustin’s superhuman skillset and magnificent shot tracers over the years, we’ll be waiting anxiously to see if Gretzky’s wish comes true.
