The Washington Football Team is allowing starting right tackle Morgan Moses, its longest-tenured player, to seek a trade, multiple sources told The Athletic on Tuesday.
The decision may be stunning considering Moses’ status, but it doesn’t come out of nowhere.
Washington drafted Sam Cosmi out of Texas in the second round in April and last week signed Charles Leno, a six-year starter for the Bears. While it appeared Cosmi and Leno would compete for playing time at left tackle, they both appear to be in contention to start, with Cosmi at right tackle.
