USA Triathlon Becomes First U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee Member To Ink CBD Partnership

A few days ago, USA Triathlon (the National Governing Body for triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon, aquabike, winter triathlon, off-road triathlon and paratriathlon) announced it was partnering with Pure Spectrum, a CBD company based in Evergreen, Colorado. According to the parties involved, this is the first CBD partnership inked by a member of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee.

The sponsorship runs through 2023 and entails education programming around hemp-derived, THC-free CBD for athletes, coaches, and the triathlon community as a whole.

Fully Compliant

All Pure Spectrum products undergo batch-specific testing in multiple third-party labs to verify their contents and potencies are exactly as listed on the label, as well as to ensure they contain no THC or any other substance prohibited by The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

During an exclusive conversation, Brady Bell, CEO and founder of Pure Spectrum explained the company has been focused on the professional sports community since its early days. “As a former athlete myself, and someone who still pursues an active lifestyle, I’ve experienced the healing powers of hemp firsthand,” he said.

Bell noted that the partnership seeks to help “those who demand the most from their bodies, perform and recover as best they can.

“We know how careful professional athletes need to be when it comes to what they put in their bodies, which is why all products go through extensive third-party testing to ensure they are 100% THC free,” he said. “We’re proud to offer Pure Spectrum as a safe, vetted option, that athletes can take with confidence.”
