The Times adds that the US Open wants to remain at Flushing Meadows despite reports it could move the tournament to Orlando, Florida or Indian Wells, California.
Qualifying for the US Open is due to start on August 24 with the full draw kicking off a week later on August 31.
The final, which was won by Rafael Nadal and Bianca Andreescu last year, is pencilled in for September 13.
Spectators will not be allowed to attend the event which will significantly hit the revenue streams.
