U.S. National Sled Team, U.S. Women's Development Sled Team Each Win Opening Game of 2024 Sled Series

MINOT, N.D. – Jack Wallace (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) had two goals and an assist, including his 100th career point, Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) scored twice and added an assist, and Jen Lee (San Francisco, Calif.) stopped all 11 shots he faced to help the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team to a 7-0 victory over Canada here today at the MAYSA Arena in game one of the 2024 Sled Series.

“I thought it was a slow start but we got better throughout the game,” said David Hoff (Bottineau, N.D.), head coach of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. “It was a fun atmosphere and I hope our momentum carries into Friday’s game.”

After gathering a loose puck in the offensive zone, Farmer cut across the slot and launched a wrist shot into the top corner of the net to give the U.S. a 1-0 lead with 3:33 remaining in the first. Wallace and Brody Roybal (Northlake, Ill.) picked up assists on the play.

At the 5:12 mark of the middle frame, Farmer picked up his second tally of the game after he forced a turnover in the offensive zone to create a breakaway opportunity, which he buried after stickhandling past Canadian goaltender Adam Kingsmill
