U.S. National Sled Team Set to Begin 2024-25 Season at IPH Cup

OSTRAVA, Czechia – The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team will open its 2024-25 season on Monday (Oct. 7) here against Czechia at 6 p.m. local/12 p.m. ET in preliminary round play in the 2024 IPH Cup.

“We are looking forward to getting the season started,” said David Hoff (Bottineau, N.D.), who begins his seventh season as head coach of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. “Not winning gold at the World Championship last year has provided us with added motivation, and it’s a great opportunity for us to play highly competitive games and measure our team’s progress from the summer.”

The four-team event, which runs through Oct. 13 and takes place at Ostravar Arena, also includes Canada and Italy.

Every game from the tournament will stream live on the Czechia Para Hockey YouTube channel. For more information, including the U.S. tournament schedule, streaming links, stats, and more, click here.

The teams will face each other in the preliminary round with the semifinal round set for Oct. 12 and championship and third-place games on Oct. 13.

The U.S. is unbeaten at the IPH Cup since the inaugural tournament in 2022, holding a 10-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record all-time at the event.
