Tyson expands portfolio of meal shortcuts

SPRINGDALE, ARK. – Tyson Foods, Inc. is adding new varieties to its lineup of Instant Pot Kits, Instant Pot Seasoned Proteins and Oven Ready Family Size Kits. The new offerings are designed to appeal to consumers seeking easy-to-prepare meals that are easier to clean up and to stave off pandemic-induced kitchen fatigue, Tyson said.

The two new flavors of Instant Pot Kits include Creamy Chicken & Noodle Casserole and Creamy Stroganoff Beef & Noodle.

The Creamy Chicken & Noodle Casserole kit cooks in about 20 minutes and includes Tyson’s antibiotic-free chicken, seasoning and egg noodles. The kit provides six servings with 20 grams of protein per serving.

The Creamy Stroganoff Beef & Noodle kit contains four to five servings and 17 grams of protein per serving. The meal kit cooks in 25 minutes and includes beef strips, egg noodles and a cream-based sauce.

The Tyson Instant Pot Seasoned Proteins line now includes new Chipotle Seasoned Chicken. Boneless, skinless chicken thighs are paired with a mild chili braising sauce, providing five servings containing 16 grams of protein each. The chicken takes about 20 minutes to cook.

The new Roasted Garlic Alfredo Fettuccine Pasta & Chicken Tyson Oven Ready Family Size Kit includes roasted garlic alfredo sauce, fettucine pasta, Italian seasoned boneless and skinless dicved chicken breast with rib meat. Ready to cook in minutes, the new kit comes with an oven-ready tray and makes four to five servings with 21 grams of protein each.

“Families everywhere are looking for their next great-tasting dinner solution,” said Steve Silzer, senior marketing director for Tyson Foods. “It was important for us to offer our new varieties of fresh meal shortcuts to cut down on the time spent chopping and stirring so families can spend more time together at the table enjoying comfort food classics.”
