Trail Blazers forward Nassir Little diagnosed with tear in left shoulder


Portland Trail Blazers‘ forward Nassir Little has a labral tear in his left shoulder, the team said Thursday after an MRI revealed the injury. Little injured himself with 8:11 remaining in the fourth quarter of Portland’s game against the Timberwolves on Jan. 25.

Little, 21, is averaging career highs of 9.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists this season as the Blazers have been ravaged with injuries. The third-year pro has appeared in 42 games thus far and started in 23 contests.

Portland (20-28) is currently 10th in the Western Conference and without Damian Lillard (abdominal), Larry Nance Jr. (right knee) and Cody Zeller (right knee).

The Blazers said they will be without Little as they travel to Houston to take on the Rockets tomorrow night.
