Titans’ Julio Jones won’t take jersey No. 11, A.J. Brown says

Julio Jones will not wear his familiar No. 11 jersey with the Titans after donning the number throughout his 10-season tenure with the Atlanta Falcons, according to fellow Tennessee wideout A.J. Brown.

Brown, who has worn No. 11 in his first two NFL seasons, tweeted Tuesday, “#11 until I retire . I tried to give it up and he wouldn’t take it . Respect 🤝”

The Titans acquired Jones on Sunday, after trade rumors swirled around him for much of the offseason. Brown had publicly recruited Jones on social media, saying in one post, “I would give up #11 if this happens. Playing alongside my idol would be crazy. No team is stopping this!!!”
