Timberwolves, president Gersson Rosas part ways

The Minnesota Timberwolves and president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas have parted ways, the team announced Wednesday.

“Today, the Minnesota Timberwolves parted ways with President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas,” Timberwolves/Lynx owner Glen Taylor said in a statement. “As an organization, we remain committed to building a winning team that our fans and city can be proud of.”

Rosas was named president of basketball operations on May 1, 2019, after a 16-year stint with the Houston Rockets under GM Daryl Morey. In 2013, he joined the Dallas Mavericks as their general manager, but left the position after three months to return to Houston.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
