Thursday Aqueduct Card Called Off Due To High Winds

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) has canceled Thursday’s live racing program at Aqueduct Racetrack due to dangerously high winds forecast to impact the New York City metropolitan area throughout the day.

The National Weather Service is calling for sustained high winds throughout the afternoon with wind gusts forecast to exceed 40 mph. As a result, NYRA has canceled live racing in the interest of the safety of all participants.

Aqueduct Racetrack will remain open for simulcasting and online wagering is available through NYRA Bets.

Live racing will resume at Aqueduct on Friday, February 28. The 8-race card will kick off at 1:20 p.m. Eastern.
