Three pros were within FEET of playing a 350-yard hole the exact same way

Charlie Beljan, during Thursday’s first round of the AT&T Byron Nelson, pegged his ball into the ground on the 348-yard, par-4 6th at TPC Craig Ranch. Brian Stuard and Ryan Moore, his playing partners, were a few yards away.

They’d get closer and closer as the hole got closer and closer.

As first pointed out by the Fire Pit Collective’s Ryan French, Beljan, Stuard and Moore played each of their shots within feet of each other — across a hole that stretched three and a half football fields. While there are numerous ways to play a hole, they played it in essentially just one.

The feet feat, of course, started on Beljan’s tee shot. He hit his 277 yards down the right side of the fairway. Then Stuard hit his tee shot 277 yards down the right side of the fairway. Then Moore hit his tee shot, yes, 277 yards down the right side of the fairway. According to the PGA Tour’s TourCast, Beljan was a little left of the group, and Stuard was a little right, and based on the angle of the hole, that gave Beljan 74 yards to the pin, Moore 75 and Stuard 78. (A slide through the photos below will show the slight difference.)

Each player would cover their yardage almost exactly. Moore hit his approach to within 3 inches, Beljan to 8 inches and Stuard to 20 inches. Incredibly, Stuard was “away” — despite being less than 2 feet from the cup. (A slide through the photos below will show the second shots.)

In all, across the three shots from the fairway and the three putts, the three players were never farther away than 12 feet, essentially a short chip.

On Friday on the 6th, it was more a pitch shot — Beljan hit his tee shot 279 yards, Stuard 273 and Moore 248.
