This is the Clint Capela Atlanta hoped for; Hawks remember Hank Aaron


Clint Capela started playing basketball when he was 13 years old in Geneva, Switzerland. Soccer was Capela’s first love, and he worshipped Thierry Henry. Capela’s older brother, Landry, started playing basketball and convinced his younger brother to join him one day. The game came naturally to Capela, and he dedicated himself to the sport from that day forward and became even more enamored with a future in the game when he saw how beloved Thabo Sefolosha was in his home country.

Fast forward 13 years, and Capela achieved something he never had done before on any level of basketball. Well, almost every level as I learned when I asked him if he had ever posted a triple-double before.

“Uh, yeah, NBA 2K,” Capela said, as he flashed a wide smile.

Capela said the players on the bench were hyping him the entire game to reach 10 blocks, especially because he already had six early in the second quarter. They kept reminding him how many he had…
