Planning to welcome a new addition to your family this year?

You’ll probably be pondering their name.

To help you whittle down the list, BabyCenter has revealed the names that are set to be super popular in 2022.

So, you can either draw inspiration from the rankings, or choose to avoid these monikers in the hopes of giving your child something unique. Up to you.

The website pulls together these rankings based on searches of baby names across the site, not what people have actually called their kids, to give you an inkling of future trends.

At the moment, Emma takes the top spot for girls, while Noah is the preferred choice for boys.

The rest of the top ten are pretty classic options, but there are some more unusual ideas creeping their way up the rankings – Raelynn is at number 41 for girls at the time of writing, while boy’s name Waylon is at 33.
