The Nets are running out of time to develop chemistry. History isn’t exactly on Brooklyn’s side


As Kevin Durant led an offensive downpour on the New Orleans Pelicans during his return on Wednesday night, one thought flowed through Barclays Center and likely throughout the rest of the basketball world.

But before that question can be answered, the Nets are still figuring out when that will happen. Harden strained his hamstring in Monday’s win over the New York Knicks and won’t be re-evaluated for another 10 days. His injury marked the latest bit of attrition in a Nets season that has been defined by it and has limited Brooklyn’s star trio of Durant, Harden and Kyrie Irving to just seven games together.
