It’s tough to know whether we’re going to get a conclusion to the 2019-20 NBA season that involves seeing more basketball games. Mark Cuban sounds extremely confident that we could see games without fans as early as May. Other people around the NBA wonder if the COVID-19 pandemic can be contained enough nationwide to allow for games to resume. The NBA badly wants to find a way to crown a champion, but the logistics of it at various stages in the calendar year get more and more complicated.

Let’s say the NBA does find a way to safely come back to playing games so it can get a champion figured out on the court. I want to go over where I think the best and most dramatic playoff showdowns (both team and individual) could play out in the Eastern and Western Conference playoffs.
