Four days into the NBA’s restart in Orlando, Fla., and the reactions and takes are flying high as teams get their feet wet. The Athletic’s NBA Power Rankings will be no different. We have only a couple Power Rankings left before the playoffs begin. While the 22 teams in Orlando are playing in unprecedented circumstances, we’re going to see big swings from the action when it comes to these rankings. The teams have a lot of pressure on them to get things right after a long layoff.
Is it fair to overreact to each game? Maybe not. But it’s a lot more fun that way. None of the rankings will be cartoonish, or at least that’s the goal. The San Antonio Spurs going 2-0 in this restart won’t catapult them to the top spot. However, it will help them move up significantly.
