It’s been quite the week for jersey releases.
After Team Canada got the festivities started on Tuesday night, Team USA followed suit on Wednesday morning by releasing their full uniform sets for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
The uniforms, which were officially unveiled by USA Hockey, will be worn by the men’s, women’s, and paralympic hockey teams set to participate in the games in roughly four months.
In crafting their jersey sets for these upcoming Olympic games, Team USA opted for simplicity this time around. Rather than integrating the stars and stripes of their flag into the design as they have in years past, the organization simply went with a bold “USA” adorning the front of each jersey, with red and blue piping accenting it on the home and away versions, while the alternate kit features a lighter blue color without the red piping.
Finishing off the design is a USA hockey patch placed prominently on each jersey’s left shoulder.
With NHL players set to participate in the Olympics for the first time since 2014, fans will likely get to see their favorite players such as Auston Matthews, Matthew Tkachuk, Connor Hellebuyck, and more wear these sweaters in a few short months.
