Team Brotherly Love on their The Basketball Tournament bubble challenges


While the Phillies are taking batting practice, the Sixers are doing individual shooting drills, the Flyers are skating around and the Union have been practicing in their own bubble, another Philadelphia sports team took the post-COVID national stage first: Team Brotherly Love, which is participating in The Basketball Tournament, a winner-take-all $1 million event taking place in Columbus, Ohio with ESPN currently airing the games.

Team Brotherly Love is comprised of former Division I college players and current professionals who play overseas, almost all of whom are from the Philadelphia area. TBT has been part of the summer sports calendar for a while, but like the rest of the sports world, adjustments needed to be made to pull it off this year. Staying in Columbus, players are living in their own version of the bubble the NBA will try to pull off over the next few months.
