Tara Reade, Joe Biden accuser, to release book one week before election

Tara Reade, the former Senate staffer who this year accused Joe Biden of sexually assaulting her in 1993, said she is releasing a memoir about her experience one week before the 2020 presidential election.

Ms. Reade, who is one of multiple women who have made allegations of unwanted touching against Mr. Biden, accused the former vice president in March of pinning her against a wall and forcing himself on her in his Senate office in 1993. Mr. Biden denied any wrongdoing in May, but he has been questioned very little about the allegation over the course of the presidential race.

Ms. Reade, a Democrat who is vocal in her opposition to President Trump, has repeatedly criticized the Democratic Party and the media for ignoring her story. Her book, titled, “Left Out: When The Truth Doesn’t Fit In,” shares “the aftermath of the re-victimization of speaking out” about the alleged assault, according to the book’s description.

The book is slated for release on Oct. 27, just one week before Election Day, Fox News reported. Ms. Reade insisted, however, that it “doesn’t have anything to do with the election.”

“It’s about my life and what it’s like to experience trauma and then move forward,” she told Fox News. “I don’t regret coming forward, but it definitely feels like things were broken in a million pieces and I’m trying to piece together back my life.”

Jacquie Jordan, founder of TVGuestpert Publishing, told Fox News, “As a woman-owned business, we believe Tara Reade’s story was worth being written, memorialized and shared.”

The Biden campaign did not return Fox News’ request for comment.
