As often as I bring home Starbucks’ pumpkin spice coffees from Starbucks, my boyfriend brings home six-packs of Samuel Adams’ Oktoberfest beer. It’s just part of the fall season. But as much as I love pumpkin spice everything, the flavor is fairly limiting when it comes to drinks. There’s only so many variations of pumpkin spice coffees you can drink before they start to lose their charm, and if you’re not a beer drinker, Oktoberfest-style lagers are out of the question, too. Thankfully, this spiked pumpkin spice drink from Join Jules (@Join_Jules) on TikTok has us covered. It’s a Pumpkin Spice S’more Cocktail, to be specific, and it’s basically everything we love about pumpkin spice and more.

The base of this cocktail consists of peanut butter whiskey and coffee liqueur, more commonly known as Screwball and Kahlúa, respectively. If you have a peanut allergy, salted caramel whiskey is a great alternative to Screwball. Start by rimming a six- to eight-ounce glass with chocolate syrup and graham cracker crumbs, the same way you’d rim a margarita glass with lime juice and salt, then drizzle extra chocolate syrup along the inside walls. Fill the glass three fourths of the way full with Screwball and a generous splash of Kahlúa. Top with pumpkin cream cold foam, and gently stir. To make pumpkin cream cold foam in a pinch, simply combine heavy whipping cream with pumpkin puree and as much pumpkin spice as your heart desires. Blend until light and fluffy, and you’re good to go.)

For the s’mores element of this drink, skewer together two jumbo marshmallows, and toast them on the stove or with a culinary torch if you have one. To finish off your Pumpkin Spice S’more Cocktail, place the skewered marshmallows over the pumpkin cream, and it’s ready to enjoy. Whether or not you enjoy it in addition to, or instead of, your regular coffee is up to you, but one thing’s for sure, this bold coffee cocktail brings a whole new meaning to the “spice” of pumpkin spice season.
